A good start.

Choose the build for your Mac.

Open Apple menu → About This Mac. If you see an Apple M-series chip, choose Apple Silicon. If you see an Intel processor, choose Intel on the download page.

Open the downloaded installer and follow its installation instructions. Launch Offscript from Applications. If macOS blocks the app, contact support with the exact message rather than disabling your Mac’s security settings.

Sign in to your workspace.

Follow the app’s sign-in prompts. Use the account you want associated with your saved work. Start with the free plan; you can review paid plans in the app later.

Save one thought worth returning to.

Use the app’s note or voice capture to save an idea. Include what it concerns and why it matters. If you use voice capture, allow the requested microphone access for that feature.

Try something small: “The handoff is unclear. I want to find out who owns the final review before proposing a new process.” Avoid sensitive work material until you have reviewed how capture and processing work.

Bring it back with a useful question.

Look for the thought in your saved work or ask about the same topic. Check that the relevant context is there. Then identify one next step you can choose yourself.

Add a connection when it helps.

Open Settings → Connections. Choose a service available to your account, review its permissions and confirm the intended account or workspace. Start with one.

Read the connection guides for setup and limitations. A connected status is a starting point; check a familiar event or conversation before relying on the context.
